Hand-dyed Wall Hanging
On this retreat you'll have plenty of time to learn how to hand-dye different yarns and roving and then have tuition on how to use this yarn plus yarns from our extensive stash, to create a wonderful textured wall hanging. You will be able to take this wallhanging home as it will fold into your suitcase easily.
Our aim is to give you a plenty of help where you need it, but also to give you plenty of time to relax in the lovely garden at Maison d'Olive or to chill in the house.
We will have local trips out - the river bar a few kilometres away is fab to sit in the shade with a cold drink and relax and knit by the river. Don't forget to bring a project if you fancy.
Also at the house will be Bernie (Val's husband) who is our back up person for transport and cooking! He's a keen cyclist, loves music and is great fun. He is tasked with building a bar in the garden so hopefully he will have completed this by the time you arrive! We have a small, very old, very quiet, Border Terrier called Bob. He's quite the star and people have said that he alone made their stay!
